Aeda, a lesser southern Dentorian house, is the major port on the southern Dentorian coast, opportunely situated a good distance from Colndor in Kanemoria and the coastal towns of Megam.

Aeda serves as both a base for Dentoria’s large navy and a trading port. Most naval trade routes in Eire stop by at Aeda, and so its bustling harbour is filled with goods from Atsiria, Kanemoria, Hanalan and Megam, as well as the chatter of foreign tongues. The town smells heavily of salt and the sea.

Due to the current Lord of Keirnan's condition, most responsibility of the navy has been handed to Lord Anthony of Aeda, a large and boisterous man nearing the end of his prime. The Lord of Aeda holds a place in the King's Council as the Lord Admiral, but is currently in negotiations with the King to allow his son and heir, Tristen, to stand for him in Eblar. The men of House Aeda are very adept at lances, and often become captains of the Dentorian fleet or order of knights, and its women are known to be quite pretty, lively and talkative. Like most of the houses of the south, the noble family of Aeda is quite large; every generation, the lord of the house often has around six children. House Aeda has forged good relations with its fellow southern houses, though for as long as most can remember, relations between Aeda and House Diarnay have been very close and there is a long history of intermarriage between them. Their crest is a black ship on a dark blue field and their words are Strength, Spirit, Life.
