As a loyal retainer to House Franel, Sawyer's relatively normal life took an abrupt turn when he awoke one day in a strange town, in a stranger country, with no explanation and nothing familiar but a scant few personal possessions to his name. He quickly located his best friend and liege Lord Kail, who had awoken in a similar fashion in a town nearby, and has been traveling with him since, trying to find the answers to the mystery behind their situation and struggling with the romantic feelings he's always had for his clueless young Lord besides.

Even from his earliest memories, Sawyer can recall his fervent desire for knighthood, to serve his country and his lords with his life. His parents, loyal Dentorian citizens situated in a province under the jurisdiction of House Franel, who loved their land and their lords, fully supported his ambition -- indeed, their smiles, full of pride and joy at their son's quick progression first from apprentice, to journeyman, then to a full fledged knight at the astonishing age of 17 have always shone brightly among his memories. He has excelled in the knighthood, and though he is one of House Franel's youngest knights, few challenge his right to the position.
His ability and charisma won over Franel's nobility, allowing him the prestige of serving as something of a personal guard to the young Lord Kail. Sawyer takes this duty very seriously; though despite the formality with which he regards his charge, he and Kail have always been very good friends.
Yet, though Sawyer is quite satisfied with his lot, he bears a secret in his innermost thoughts; there is no time that he can recall, during the entirety of his service, that he has not harbored feelings for his prince that, should they be discovered, might cost him all he has worked so hard to acheive...

A bright youth with a positive outlook on life, Sawyer is quite charismatic and naturally likeable. He is somewhat formal as is befitting of a proper knight, though his wit and sharp intellect are readily apparent despite his knightly demeanor. He is friendly and outgoing, always willing to talk with just about anyone -- he's not particularly hard to get along with. He highly values his status as a knight, but is hardly as stuffy or overbearing as knights often are. He works hard to please others, particularly seeking the approval of Prince Kail, and has a tendency to forget his own needs in his haste to assist his prince and others in need.

Sawyer is rather handsome in his own right; his smiles have been sought after by more than one giggling Dentorian girl. His hair is best classified as midway between brown and blonde; his eyes are bright green. He stands at roughly 5'9", with a slight build that belies his strength, honed by countless hours on the training field with his comrades in arms.
