Melyndra is an Atsirian woman calling herself "The Prophet," who is slowly attempting to convert the kingdom of Atsiria to worship of the three Goddesses. She is incredibly charismatic and beautiful.

She came to the rescue of the orphan girl Karlesta, when she was dying in the desert, drawn by a power Karlesta seemed to possess, and has since made the girl into her right hand and surrogate daughter. Shortly after this, she came to Razen and rescued Lawrence and Faith from a death sentance. Claiming she knows what they are seeking in Atsiria, she and Karlesta have become their guides across the desert.

She is secretive, aloof and evasive towards those she travels with.

• Melyndra is in position of a forbidden staff. To this date, it is unclear if the Megam government is aware of this.
• She appeared in Razen at the coronation of Queen Edalene, uninvited and unannounced, to give her blessing.
• She claims to be waiting for a "Chosen One" who can open a door.
• Melyndra has converted half the citizens of Taleth, Cleraine, Feldri, and Ilserna to Goddess worship.
• Melyndra can see the past, present, and future in flame.
