Mansoure is situated north of Emeron and directly south of the Adari Pass in the Eran Mountains, a passageway most used by migrants travelling between Korin and Dentoria.

It is usually a stopover point for these travellers, and so there are many inns and taverns offering a bed and a meal for the weary. A number of dancers and bards also reside in Mansoure, as the people living in the area are known to love a good performance.

House Mansoure is renowned throughout Dentoria as excellent healers and practitioners of light magic, and has a long tradition of its ladies being able valkurias. Potions and staves from Mansoure are always in high demand and House Mansoure reportedly keeps all models of the special staves. Before unification, Mansoure was the least militaristic of the northern houses, preferring to provide support in healing instead. Mansoure has always maintained strong relations with House Franel as well as House Emeron. Like all northerners, those of Mansoure possess a great amount of pride – some say haughtiness – though they are also gentle in spirit. Traditionally, Emeron has always seen Mansoure as easier to cow than Lireth or Franel. The house is currently under the control of Lady Gloria, wife to the deceased Lord Mikhail, until their daughter Lady Felicia comes of age at eighteen. Mansoure’s crest is a yellow seven-pointed star on a cream field. Their words are Shine in Darkness.
