Eire has 7 active languages, used by different people. These lanugages may exist in modern, old, high and old high forms.
Modern is the form of language used currently in everyday life by the majority of the population.
High is the form of language that is the more "correct" form of modern, and is mostly used by nobility, and generally not in casual speech or writing. Texts such as legal or religious documents and government mandates are often written using this form.
Old is the form of language that contains more archaic vocabulary and grammatical structures. It is essentially only known by scholars and the religious.
Old High is the form of language that is the most difficult to understand, and requires the most intense study. It is very rare to know this form.
High forms are not distinguishable with knowledge of Old forms, Old are not from High, Old High and not from Modern, etc.

Trade is the universal tongue, spoken by everyone. It is the preferred language of every country except for Kilia and Atsiria, and is also the newest. Therefore, no other forms of the language exists.

Atsirian is the language mostly spoken in Atsiria. Atsirians generally have some fluency in Trade, but most prefer one or the other. It exists in modern, old, high and old high forms, and has a unique alphabet.

Dentorian is the secondary language of Dentoria and Kanemoria. It exists in modern, old, high and old high forms, and is written in the same alphabet as Korin, Hanalan, Megam and Trade. Kanemorian Dentorian is slightly different from Classic Dentorian, but they are easily understandable to one another.

Hanalan is the rarely spoken language of Hanalan. It exists in modern, old, high and old high forms, and is written in the same alphabet as Dentorian, Korin, Megam and Trade. Since it is barely spoken and used in its own country of origin, scholars proficient in the language are quite rare.

Kilian is the primary language of Kilia. It is by far the most preferred tongue in Kilia, and travellers who speak Trade are often ignored or held in contempt. It exists in modern, old, high and old high forms, and has a unique alphabet.

Korin is the secondary language of Korin. It exists in modern, old, high and old high forms, and is written in the same alphabet as Dentorian, Hanalan, Megam and Trade. It's the easiest language apart from Trade to learn.

Megam is the secondary language of Megam. It exists in modern, old, high and old high forms. The modern form of Megam is written in the same alphabet as Dentorian, Hanalan, Korin and Trade, while the old, high, and old high forms are all written in a unique alphabet. Profinciency in Megam is required to read many religious texts, but The Scriptures themselves have been translated into every language.
