Jonathan is a man with a long and sorted past. Born to a pair of Pillars of Light, he grew up happy, until an incident when he was sixteen left his parents dead and him alone. He left Kilia and became a travelling mage, and joined up with Celeste during her time in Forshen, mostly out of curiosity. Since then, he has been traveling with the party, searching to answers for the mystery surrounding Franel.

- Celeste, the young lady whom he joined on her quest to find out about Franel, and harbors a strong attachment toward.
- Lauren, a pegasus knight who has been traveling with Celeste for just as long as Jonathan has, who has become Jonathan's pillar of support in his times of depression.
- Lawrence, former lord of the now-vanished Franel, who intimidates Jonathan more than he probably should.
- Jace, a thief who is somewhat of a friend, somewhat of a snark partner, and somewhat of a fellow theorizer.
