The youngest child and only daughter of a traveling merchant family, Inara's spoiled rotten and extremely obnoxious. When she gets too bored she starts causing mischief, from petty theft to simply finding some new way to piss of her brother Calaith.

The youngest of three, Inara was spoiled rotten by her parents. Her two older brothers were expected to take up the family trade business when their parents finally decided to settle down, but she was often left to do as she pleases. Her parents never pushed her very hard to do much of anything and she quickly learned how to take advantage of their lack of attention paid to her while they were working.
Inara was always quick to cause mischief, including swiping things from other traders at their stops. At first she was almost always caught, but since she was her parents' little princess she could do no wrong and was therefore never punished and would go right back to it. Eventually she became very good at sneaking off with all shapes and sizes of random goods for no other reason than to see if she could. Her favorite game quickly became moving random goods from one vendor to another without getting caught, and waiting for either of the two vendors to notice. The ensuing drama was almost always well worth the risk.
When she has free time and her parents aren't watching she's often playing with the set of daggers she hides in her skirt, training herself to throw with good accuracy as well as strike hard and fast when she has to be up close and personal. Inara has yet to have a reason to actually use her daggers in any kind of real fight, and instead sees them as just another toy to amuse her while her parents are working. None the less she continues to hone her skills in case her lies are unable to get her out of trouble.

Inara shares the sarcastic sense of humor of Calaith, the younger of her two brothers, and the out going confidence of her older brother, Saul. She is also extremely good at lying, having an uncanny ability to trick just about anyone when she decides to play innocent, flirt, turn on the tears, or just about anything else in order to get the reaction she wants out of anyone she comes into contact with. Although she is unable to fool her two older brothers, whom have had to deal with her playing little miss innocent when she decides to get either, or both, of them in trouble as well as play the victim if something doesn't go her way. She could be an extremely successful actress with her abilities to completely change her personality to fit whatever occasion she needs to, but would rather use her abilities to cheat her way through life and have as much fun as possible without having to do any real work. She also has quite the bitchy side, but very few people learn of it unless they really get on her nerves and push the wrong buttons.

- Anton, a hot, blond, stick in the mudd that Inara unwittingly fell in love with and the possible father of her unborn baby.
- Irving, an archer from Hanalan that Inara gave the present of "sex" to for his birthday and one of the other possible fathers of her unborn baby.
- Jack, a mercenary from Kanemoria that Inara insisted was boring until he played a one on one game of strip poker with followed by hot hot sex, and therefore the last possible father of her unborn baby.
- Lauren, one of Inara's best friends whom she constantly talks to about sex and various relationship oriented matters.

Inara is rather short for her age and just cute enough to be able to pull off the innocent perfect little daughter look, flirt her way out of trouble, and cause boys to stare when she so pleases, but ordinary enough to not draw unwanted attention to herself. Her silver colored hair also lets her get away with looking like a young boy when she's in need of a good disguise. Inara's bright red eyes starkly contrast against her hair and often shine with that youthful innocence that lets her get away with so much.
While she enjoys wearing skirts and dresses, she absolutely hates having to wear anything that could even remotely be considered formal. She much prefers being comfortable to looking nice and spends as little time getting herself ready for the day as she can. The less time she spends making herself look pretty the more time she has to enjoy the day and cause the mischief she loves so much.
