House Nallen

Nallen is a lesser eastern House of Dentoria situated southeast of Eblar and east of Rowan, to the south of the Arisadre river.

The area is famous for its flower gardens, and the town is often a stopover point for trade routes to Eblar and northern Dentoria. Unlike most of eastern Dentoria, Nallen’s lands are quite suitable for farming and raising livestock, especially to the west of the province, although these lands are often subject to border disputes with the neighbouring House Rowan. Knights often patrol the area to search for bandits, but end up fighting with the Rowan knight patrol more often than not.

Those of House Nallen are known for being fair, righteous and just, and skilled in a wide range of areas … only to lose their composure where Rowan is concerned. The persisting feud between the two families is hampered by Nallen’s claim to an excellent memory and with it - according to Rowan, at least - an ability to hold grudges for eternity. This feud has so often disrupted the households of both families that Lady Jelena, wife of the ruling Lord Horace, implemented a system known by the family as “The Routine”, a set of strict guidelines governing when things can and cannot happen. The Routine has achieved its intended effect of stabilising the household, although visitors find this obsession with order peculiar, unnerving or, in the case of House Rowan, absolutely amusing. House Nallen’s crest is a red tulip on green and their words are The Just Flourish.
