House Bresa

Bresa is a lesser House of eastern Dentoria that lies southwest of Temair and Vernhail and northeast of Nallen.
About half of the province is comprised of wetlands that provide natural protection against storms, floods and tidal damage. This also means that most of the province’s economy is dependent on aquaculture; the area is well known for its farming of fish and shellfish. The unique flora and fauna of the wetlands also attract the interest of botanists and zoologists from around Dentoria. Bresa also manages the Arisadre aquaduct system that delivers water to the lands south of Eblar.
Like most of their fellow Eastern nobles, House Bresa traditionally values an educated mind more than physical skill, and prefer going about their work unnoticed rather than making a scene. Those of House Bresa specialise in logic and reason rather than creativity and artistry, which is reflected in their role in the Dentorian legal hierarchy. The younger sons are often made justices of the court, or travel all around Dentoria as magistrates. The Lord of House Bresa, currently the Lord Peter, is usually holds the position of Lord Officer of the High Court, and is responsible for the scheduling and recording of trials and hearings, the issuing of writs and summons, the organization of evidence collected against the accused and the recommendation of a suitable penalty on the behalf of the crown. Their crest is a grey fish on a blue background. Their words are Honour Before Glory.
