House Allba

Allba, a lesser house of western Dentoria, lies south of Rowan and northwest of Rhia.

A large part of Allba's lands borders the Darmine Channel, a notoriously dangerous body of water to navigate due to the columns of rock that pepper the strait. Nevertheless, trade across the channel prospers. Like most of western Dentoria, it is comprised of flat grassland, ideal for grazing, and so its lands raise livestock such as cattle, sheep and goats. Dry forests lie to the east, where deer and bears roam wild.

Before unification and during the war, the line of Allba had been an immensely wealthy family who had served as stewards, generals, counsellors and brides to the Lords of the West. When Dentoria was unified and Milesia became the sovereign house, House Allba rose to nobility and claim to its land and titles in its place. Now, they have married into nobility so many times for so many generations that only absolute purists would scorn them, though the House remains determined to prove themselves worthy at every chance. Lord Rylan succeeded his father half a year ago as Lord of Allba, and has been a better leader than expected. Depsite having been married for a few years, he and his wife, Lady Cerise, have yet to bear any children, much to the curiosity of their vassals and peers. Allba’s crest is a brown bear on a pale blue field. Their words are Courage to Endure.
