Emeron lies at the mouth of the Upper Fallah river, which is bordered with dikes to keep the banks from overflowing to the city to the south.

Emeron is the fourth largest city in Dentoria and the largest city in the north. It houses tradesmen -- especially blacksmiths -- of high skill, many theatres and an arena for entertainment. The arena especially is a favourite form of entertainment, as northerners generally appreciate shows of strength as much as they do showing others their skill in battle. Weapons made in Emeron are held in high esteem. The surrounding land, like most of the north, is devoted to growing grain, though to the south there are more frost-resistant fruit crops. Emeron Castle is situated at the city center, separated by the city by very high stone walls that block views of the castle from the ground.

The Lords of the North were the last to accede to unification, fighting with characteristic pride until they realised defeat was inevitable. Isaac, the High Lord of Emeron, holds a place in the King's Council as the master of war. House Emeron is responsible for keeping accounts of every house’s military force, maintaining the country’s defences, preparing and rallying troops from all over Dentoria in case of war and commands the largest army in Dentoria. However, its power falls short of supervising law enforcement within Dentoria itself, something that remains a bone of contention between Emeron and the royal house. Some say that Milesia refused to hand Emeron that power, as it was wary of the North’s strength. Emeron’s relations with its lesser houses vary from complete dominance to terse loyalty; it sees Mansoure as the easiest to control, while it is reluctant to hand more power to Lireth due to its ambition. House Emeron’s crest is a red manticore on a black field and their words are Glory is Ours.
