House Diarnay
From Himitsu no Sensou
Diarnay, a lesser southern house of Dentoria, lies south of the mouth of the Glenabar river and northeast of Rhia.
A large portion of Diarnay’s lands is devoted to crops and the farming of sheep and cattle. Most wine production in the south – and most of Diarnay’s income -- comes from Diarnay’s wineries, and their grapes produce a wine that is sweet and slightly spiced. The town is usually a stopping point for those coming from the north wishing to travel to Rhia, Aeda, or Kanemoria.
House Diarnay is famed to be as persistent as its words suggest. Its members often excel at a wide range of fields due to both talent and hard work. Every generation, House Diarnay tends to have more sons than daughters, which provides its own unique disadvantages: it often cannot provide daughters for its allies and superiors to marry – integral for securing alliances, and must allocate an inheritance for their sons, which, considering the number of sons they may have, could prove quite difficult. Diarnay is one of the more social houses, being more acquainted with houses from the other regions than others of similar standing. Of all its allies, however, it shares extremely close ties with House Aeda, to the point where it is said that they do not decide to support a royal ruling without first consulting the other. Their banner is a mounted bowman in scarlet aiming upwards against a navy field. The words of House Diarnay are By Industry, We Thrive.
