As a child, Corrina was ever in her sister's shadow. Lila was stronger, bolder, and if her parents clucked their tongues and wondered why the girl couldn't be more like her younger sister, Corrina's earliest memories are of wanting to be her. So when her family left the Kanemorian countryside and settled in the countryside surrounding House Lireth, and her sister fought her way into training for the knighthood, she stood aside and quietly brooded that she could not find the strength to do the same.
Instead, she was charged with learning the staff like a proper lady, taught subservience and humility, manners and meekness, everything her sister wasn't. With Lila away more often than not for her training, and altogether gone once her position was secured, Corrina had little inspiration for resisting her mother's grooming; if anything, Lila's decisions only spurred her mother's ambition to ensure she turned out nothing like her sister, at all costs. And despite her sister's attempts to the contrary, Corinna had never quite learned to stand up for herself, and so she did as she was told, punctuated by moments of "defiance" during which she tried (and failed) to "do as Lila might have done."
It wasn't merely her studies her mother pursued with a nearly frightening single-mindedness; Lila's decisions were accounted almost completely to her tomboyish nature, her exposure to boys her own age, their lack of discouraging those things from the start. Thus Corinna was kept strictly from contact with boys, surrounded by dresses and dolls, spoiled and pampered and primped so that she might turn out to be the daughter her parents, her mother had always wanted.
She was fairly resigned to her fate, and even growing somewhat interested in her studies and more fond of the attentions than she knew -- despite secretly wishing for the talent, ambition and ability to join the knighthood, with her sister -- when her mother announced her ultimate plans; quiet, meek little Corinna, what better place for her than the clergy? And not just the clergy, but a tiny Dentorian temple, isolated in the countryside, the perfect place to be shipped to and forgotten. Devoid of men, of course, their influence was apparently too much to be risked, even among priests.
In a flash, all of her pretty dresses, her expensive dolls, her baubles and jewelry and lace and furs, her teaparties with the girls her age deemed appropriate for the occasional playdate -- all of it would be gone, leaving her alone and forgotten, meek little Corrina, slaving away as a Sister until the end of time. She ran, fast if not far, to the one place she knew she would be understood -- Lila would surely pity her, hide her, save her. Her idealized memories of her elder sister proved unreliable, however, and though she was sent back, she still remains resolute in her refusal to join the clergy; though with Corrina, "resolute" hardly means much.

Weak-willed and soft spoken; quiet and very sheltered. Her opinions are molded almost entirely by her mother, who has told her what to say and think, how to dress and behave, and basically how to live her entire life for as long as she can remember. She somewhat resents this, though her occassional moments of "taking a stand (like Lila would!)" are quelled quickly and thoroughly, even harshly, for her more unforgiveable ideas.
Corrina is very spoiled, though she doesn't exactly realize it, having always been her mother's perfect darling. She is fond of any and all girlish pursuits, though having been forbade most contact with men (aside from her father and her brother, of course) she is quite fascinated by them, as well.
Though she is easily manipulated and cowed, Corrina occassionally goes through fits of defiance, wherein she remembers the things Lila taught her, before she left -- to stand up for yourself, to do what you want despite the consequences, to be impulsive and impossible and loud and better than everyone, all the time. Unfortunately, this is mostly translated as fits of screaming, or scathing remarks, or impulsive actions as dangerous to herself as they are stupid. These fits never last particularly long -- any stand is too much of a stand for Corrina to face for long -- but when they're upon her she can be quite a handful.
Recently, ever since her mother's declaration of her plans for her future, however, these fits have been more frequent, longer lasting, and worse than ever before.

Corrina is short and slight of frame, and small for her age, standing at only 5'2". Her eyes are blue, and her hair is very long, and very blonde. She often wears it up in pigtails, making her seem much younger than she actually is. She is only ever found in expensive dresses, and is fond of bows and lace, satin and fur, elaborate hairpieces and extravagant jewelry.
