Quiet, reserved and knowledgeable were the best traits of the men of House Meirsu. Silence was a virtue, to them, and everything was drowned in it. Hushed voices and muted footsteps were all that could be heard when they walked down the empty hallways. Silence was a way of life, and they saw it as a gift from the above. A gift taken away from them upon the birth of their third son, Alexander. Though the words 'loud and proud' would be described as cliched, or used by someone with a gas problem, those exact three words fitted the child (who had decided his name was most definately 'Xander') to utter perfection. His 'gift', he supposed, was the ability to talk about anything, given the chance to do it.
And upon discovering that he was really rather good at it seemed to helped.
He showed an early interest in women, as they happened to be the only ones who would actually pay any attention to him whatsoever. This interest only grew stronger as the years passed, as Xander grew into a good looking young man who was ridiculously adept in the art of over the top flattery. Many girls (much to their misfortune) found him rather charming, and he's had his fair share of them, now at the age of twenty-one. Unfortunately, this also gave him a somewhat bad reputation, as he never seemed to be able to keep up a relationship for more than a couple of days.
Aside from his interest in women, he also showed a fascination in music, and is quite good at the violin.
However, he is almost perfectly useless at both riding and handling the spear, which, unfortunately, is supposedly what the male side of his family is supposed to be famous for.

Xander has always delighted in attention. Particularly when it's given to him. He tends to talk a lot (and mostly about himself), and occasionally tries to make it interesting (for others, of course. He could never get sick of talking about himself), if he's in a good mood, that is. All eyes are always on him when he's in the room, and that's how he likes it.
Xander is very fond of women, particularly good looking women, and will flatter and compliment them at any chance he gets. His choice of words, though not questionable, are ridiculously over the top, and what some would describe as flowery. He likes getting interesting reactions out of people, and rather likes seeing people flustered for the amusement of it. Of course, he doesn't voice this to them, as he rather prefers not to get in any sort of predicament that may result in physical violence. Especially to himself.
He is easily bored by things that he dubs 'dull' at first glance, and is the type that acts on first impressions, and is much too stubborn to go back and admit his wrongs. The only things that ever seem to interest him are women, women, and on occasion, music. He comes off as rather reckless and self obsessed, but in reality, just wants to make the best of his time on Eire, even if it's in a slightly more unorthodox fashion than most people. He isn't short tempered at all, and has a rather long fuse. Long, but when it reaches the end, boom, and all hell breaks loose. And it would be safe to assume that when this happens, all is not well in Xander-land.
Xander does like himself quite a bit, and isn't interested in serious relationships, unless some day he could find someone that in his eyes, is even better than himself.

Tall, thin and well built (he supposes all the hours of chasing after his horse and straining to pick up his spear does something to the body), with a handsome face to go with it, Xander considers himself a thing of great beauty, but is most definately not girly, and not interested in men. He has short, dark green hair and narrow brown eyes, sporting a somewhat serious looking face that gives off, in his opinion, a completely wrong impression (thanks to his father's side.)
